Catherine Patton Cothran

Thanks to God our Father.Peace be unto you. Catherine is the older sister of Carl Allen Patton. They were both raised in Chattanooga TN. However, Catherine was born in Madison County Alabama. Her parents William and Ruby Patton moved to Chattanooga when she was two years old

At an early age Catherine was called on to do dramatic readings in school. Therefore, she developed over the years her gift to recite poetry. However, she first started to seriously write poetry during the time of her oldest son's wedding.

Catherine's heritage and roots in the south resonate from her poetry. As a strong Christian woman and Bible scholar she sees God in her poetry. Her work reveals an in-depth approach toward people and their lives through poetry. The narration of her poems are superb and one of her greatest assets as a poet.

Carl A. Patton

THE ROLE OF THE TRUTH SEEKER IS CHOSEN BY THE CREATOR.

A WRITER WILL DIE BUT HIS WORK WILL LAST FOR AN ETERNITY

Carl A. Patton is a freelance writer. He has authored three other books on the history of ChattanoogaTennessee King Cobra (unpublished) deals with aspects of the Civil War up to the turn of the century. Patton has also written an autobiographical history of Chattanooga(1945-1980) also unpublished. He began his writing career in 1986 when his doctoral dissertation concerning a history of Black involvement in the electoral arena inChattanoogaTennessee was rejected.

The rejection and dispute with this research began in 1982 when Patton became a doctoral candidate. The rejection of the research further revealed to Patton his role to critique society. His experiences in the Atlanta University Political Science Department (now known as Clark) also convinced Patton to become an unyielding independent thinker. This experience further revealed to Patton that there is very little evidence of academic freedoms in many colleges and universities. Academic freedoms are denied independent thinkers and often because of race, sex and religion.Patton's doctoral research is now entitled The Black Conspiracy: TheRise and Fall of a Commission Form of Government. Patton argues that many aspects of racism would not exist in the United States if not for the conspiracy of many Blacks in the leadership ranks.
