Greetings
Brethren,
The record shows
that there was a distinction made between different races and groups of people
during the time of the Old Law. However, this was a temporary period. We regret
that many people want to hold on to things of the Old Law that have now been excluded
mainly due to the coming of Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile most
that hold on to things not commanded by God during the present Christian
Dispensation are those who reject Christ. Some also reject God and Christ. Can
you reject Christ and not reject God? Some are blinded by the lies told by the
heart and mind-set of White Supremacy and still others are blind with the
hearts of Black Supremacy.
Peace and Love,
Carl Patton

Savior Jesus Christ.
SLAVERY & THE BIBLE: MYTH OR REALITY
PART 6: THE BOND SERVANT & THE HIRED SERVANT
(LEVITICUS 25)
In the name of Jehovah God, Master of the universe,
Ruler of the earth.
We praise God
for yet another opportunity on this side to bear witness to the Truth of God.
It is for sure that Jesus Christ the Savior of all humankind would not be
welcome in most churches today. This is noted because most churches do not
teach the Truth of the Bible. We stand on Truth and are neither ashamed nor
afraid of the Gospel.
So we are
thankful for our exclusion from the ESTABLISHED CHURCH. We are also excluded
from the ESTABLISHED ORDER IN ACADEMIA.
But the Word of God teaches us that this will be so. Thus we are not
surprised and gain strength from all of the ditches the Hell-bound ditch
diggers' dig. "Is that Right?"
As we continue
to dis-spell the myth that God has ordained slavery
our attention is called to Leviticus 25:44-46. However we will begin with the
39th verse and work our way to verse 44.
Again we note that
the person who raised these questions is not using the King James Version of the
Bible. We will begin with the 39th verse. For the record the Torah is not a
sufficient source to use to note the realities of an attempted comparative
analysis between Old Testament Slavery and American Slavery.
The record shows
that God chose the Hebrew/Jewish people for a particular mission. However, they
failed to carry out that mission. They also have continued to disobey God and
reject the Messiah that God foretold them would be sent to save the world
throughout the Old Testament. Being that the Hebrew/Jews reject Christ, the
Torah is a distorted version of the Old Testament to support the Hebrew/Jews
futile wait on their Messiah.
This is further
made clear in that we (Christians) presently live during the Christian Period
and the time of Christ. Thus, we are not bound by any of the Civil and
Ceremonial Laws of the Old Covenant.
Therefore we follow the Bible and not the Torah. The Torah is for the
Hebrew/Jews that reject Christ. Real (True) Christians accept Christ as their
Savior.
Leviticus
25:39-41. "And if thy brother that dwelleth by
thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt
not compel him to serve as a bondservant:"
25:40. "But
as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be
with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubilee:"
25:41. "And
then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall
return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his father’s shall he
return."
No doubt during
the Old Testament God permitted the existence of servant/slaves among the Hebrew
people. Was this a preparation for the future? Would the Hebrew people gain
from their experiences of bondage and freedom? However, there was a distinct
difference between a bond servant and a hired servant. One was forced or
involuntary servitude and the other voluntary.
For example a
brother who was too poor to make ends meet could offer his personal services as
security. This was voluntary service. Also, as an example Christians become
servants to God. The FreedomJournal is a servant of God, but we are voluntary
servants. Also, if you do not serve God you serve Satan. (See Romans 6:16-18).
Meanwhile the
brother who is poor under the Old Law (that no longer applies to believers)
there are other stipulations. If he is not able to redeem himself before the
year of jubilee, then he was to become a free man. A note on Jubilee.
According to
Leviticus 25 every 50th year in Israel was to be announced as a jubilee year.
Note the following three features of the year of Jubilee:
1. Liberty was
proclaimed to all Israelites who were in bondage to any of their countrymen.
2. There was to
be a return of ancestral possessions to those who had been compelled to sell them
because of poverty.
3. This year was
to be a year of rest for the land. For
the record did/do the Hebrew people honor these laws?
Now about the
New Covenant and Jesus Christ.
When Jesus officiated as our High
Priest and
entered Heaven with his own blood that laid the plan for the release of those
who had been in the service of sin. (See Hebrews 9:24 and Romans 6:17-18).
Leviticus 25:
42-43. "For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of
Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen."
25:43.
"Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy
God."
In these
passages we see that God has claimed these servants. God purchased them from
Egypt by the sacrifice of the first born of the Egyptians. God also purchased
man from the bondage of sin by the slaying of His first born or "only
begotten Son." Therefore, regarding the foregoing statements Christians
are commanded to treat their brothers as brothers, and not as inferior beings.
Thus, race should not be an obstacle toward Christian love. Those
less talented and without great resources are still to be treated with love.

Treated Humanely?
